About Vincent

Vincent Glode is the Pasi H. Hamalainen Professor of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. He joined the Wharton School in July 2009 after earning his PhD in finance from Carnegie Mellon University. His research is mainly theoretical and studies how financial intermediaries create and allocate surplus in the economy. His papers have been published in leading academic journals such as the American Economic Review, the Journal of Economic Theory, the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, and the Review of Financial Studies and have received best paper awards at multiple conferences. He is an associate editor at the Journal of Finance and at Management Science, an elected board member of the Northern Finance Association and a past elected board member of the Finance Theory Group. At Wharton, Professor Glode teaches valuation courses in the undergraduate, MBA, and executive education programs and has won several teaching awards. He has served on Wharton’s Teaching Excellence Committee, the Dean’s Advisory Council, and the MBA program’s Executive Committee. He is a CFA charter holder.
